Nū
Nu is a project that began in my final year of uni, the concept was to create a multi channel brand through a print publication, online presence and in person events with a focus on music, arts and social connection. I produced issue one and featured an array of artists and musicians, alongside commissioned artwork and a commissioned written piece based on self image. The website featured snippets of interviews and videos, including a collaborative film made with Matt Lewis (Boiling Point, The Responder). The brand hosted two events, the first was a takeover of Uncle Monty’s Party House at Marwoods bar and coffee house in Brighton, which also included a vintage clothes swap and two DJs I invited to set the musical scene. The second event was a gig at The Libertine in Worthing, Dorset band Leeches were accompanied by Brighton’s Voodoo and the Crypts. I screen printed t-shirts, tote bags and posters to sell at the event and raise money for the next magazine print run.
